        To whoever writes the replies: please stop with the "HIPPA" excuse. You're obviously just trying to CYA while not addressing the question, which may apply to many customers. if a person posts his own medical question on the internet, that means he's comfortable having other people know about it and would like an answer. I get so sick of "HIPPA" being the boilerplate excuse for not answering any questions. Guess what? The public aren't that stupid so stop insulting us.

        These people have the cahonies. They give you a drug that puts you in the hospital where you suffer horribly for 7 weeks before sending you home to die 6 days later. Then they send a large bill for the service.

      There are Federal and state regulations which hold all medical entities to privacy standards. The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) privacy rule provides federal protections for personal health information held by covered entities (i.e., our Clinic). Patients must provide written authorization, in advance, in order for MCH to disclose any information specific to their visit, including online.       We appreciate you speaking with our Radiology Manager to discuss your concern, allowing us to appropriately and quickly address. We are committed to improving our scheduling AND communication processes to prevent future situations. One of the many goals of our Electronic Medical Records system / MyChart is to aid in communications via "appointment reminder texts" where scheduled appointments trigger “appointment reminder” messages to be sent to each scheduled individual (via text & email). And each department and physician unit welcomes calls to confirm arrival times, especially when patients have more than one same-day appointment at MCH.
