Good location for this visit. Nothing here is close to anywhere with the traffic Nearby activities: The Menil Collection is a must see

Lower-end instance of the JW Marriott line. Rooms were decent and at least quiet. Cleaning and maintenance could use some attention. Bathroom mat/rug had a huge rip in it, and was severely frayed. Found long hairs in the shower. Very limited hours for the coffee shop, especially during weekdays. Which was probably fine, given that a yogurt and a juice cost $15 (insane, even for a JW Marriott). Location is the reason one would want to stay here. Checkout person acted like it was a huge deal to fetch my bag, rolling her eyes at the effort (apparently because there were numerous bags in storage).

While visiting Houston Tx for my birthday I decided to stay at this hotel. It was cool. However, the housekeeping steals! I forgot my Samsung Pro Ear Buds there on the Nightstand and the housekeeping took them and went all around Texas with them. Once I noticed I left them I notified the hotel and let them know the headphones were there and the buds were being track about 4pm and they were still there but she then left the building. They made me show them tracking information, screenshots of where the headphone were and etc for a month. Only for them to contact me yesterday and say Marriott isn't responsible for things left in the hotel. And to think I left her a tip that I wish I could take back!!!!!! They could've tried to accommodate me with $200 worth of point or something the proff was in the pudding!!!!!! I'm going have everybody I know leave a review.
