Not a fan. Their tests took over 10 days to wrap up. I had to call constantly to get a status update. Then the doc went on a break and I have yet to actually hear back on my results (over a month at this point). Eventually I just gave up because I don't feel great paying more for another appointment to go and discuss results that they don't even have the decency to call me about. I'm not sure if this is a standard procedure but there are other hospitals out there (Kelsey Seybold) that have promptly called me back within a couple of days as promised, and provided me with all the information I needed.

Dr. Patel is the worst doctor I have ever interacted with!!! He's very unfriendly and disrespectful! I went to see Dr. Patel as a new patient at GI Specialists of Houston's main office at 1900 N Loop West. When the nurse put me in the room to talk to Dr. Patel, he was already in there. However, he didn't even acknowledge that I entered the room, he just continued typing something on his computer and didn't look in my direction once or even say hi. So I just sat there awkwardly in silence for about 2 minutes watching him flabbergasted at his lack of manners and total disregard of me. When he finished typing whatever it was he was writing, he did not apologize for not acknowledging me when I came in, and he still didn't greet me. He just asked me what my name was and asked me what problem I was having. Utterly rude! Another thing is that you can almost never reach this office via phone! It took me 2 weeks of calling to finally get someone who answered the phone to schedule an appointment. Furthermore, after my consultation with Dr. Patel, he ordered some tests for me which I completed and I haven't gotten back the results as yet, and it's been more than a week now since I've done the tests!! The office said that the doctor would call me back once they got the results but I've heard absolutely nothing. I've tried calling them several times on several days but of course, no one is answering the phone! I would've driven to the office and showed up in person to get my results but, the office is not close to me and that is such an inconvenience. I would not recommend Dr. Patel to anyone! I would give 0 stars if that was possible!
