        I was hospitalized at Houston Methodist West for GI problems and Dr. Van Norman was my attending gastroenterologist. Dr. Van Norman has a very kind and warm demeanor. She's easy to understand and speaks calmly, which is appreciated when you feel like you're in crisis. Dr. Van Norman conducted all of the appropriate testing and made recommendations for continued care. To my surprise she, herself, communicated with me on an online portal to check on my well-being. And days later she actually called me!!! This makes me very happy because this type of attention isn't common with doctors. So, in short, I highly recommend Dr. Van Norman.
