The 1 star is not relevant to the physician but the office "protocol". I found this provider on the Anthem website and reached out to see if they were accepting new patients. They were and while attempting to schedule, I was asked what the appointment would be for. We are new to Houston (and Texas) and my hope was to find a primary care physician. I wanted an appointment for an initial "meet and greet" as well as to discuss a medication I was previously on and a referral to a dermatologist. The scheduler told me that I MUST schedule all 3 separately due to "office protocol". It's completely unreasonable to expect a patient to take time out of their day/life/schedule numerous times AND be billed numerous times to receive "care" that could easily be addressed collectively in less than an hour (realistically, less than 10 minutes with the physician!). It's discouraging that this is what healthcare looks like.

Doctor Leslie Allison showed some concern about a medical condition i have. He explained to me how it could eventually cause cancer if not treated correctly. I really do appreciate his advice. I personally think that he is a great doctor and good at explaining.
