MainStay Suites Texas Medical Center/Reliant Park

Drove to Houston to take my Father in-law to MD Anderson. The free shuttle service was great. The not so great was the shower in our room would not get warm could only stand one shower. The gfi electric outlet in the bathroom would not work,the outlet by the big mirror in the room our hair dryer cord would not stay in kept falling out and to top it off no telling how many baby roaches I saw. And I was disappointed they didn't offer any kind of a breakfast in the morning..our room was 307.

The room smelled bad and my key cards often stopped working. Given the cost of the room, I expected more. Also no breakfast foods.

I stayed three months at the Mainstays. The service really makes the hotel. Shamika, Heidi and Maurice are the most friendly front desk staff. Heidi is the knowledgeable about local amenities.

Heidi went above and beyond this evening to accommodate last minute changes to the room. We stay at a lot of hotels and most would have never helped like she did. Kudos to her!!Great customer service! Choice hotels- keep the good ones!!!!
