Rip-off warning! I had a regular cancer screening at Baylor Dermatology; during the office visit, a (different) physician took two mole biopsy samples. As a result, Dr. Yve Huttenbach from the Baylor Dermatopathology Lab charged me MORE THAN SIX HUNDRED DOLLARS ($600) just for the lab work! Important note: I happen to have what is supposed to be a "good" insurance plan for Baylor employees; I am scared to think of what they would charge others. I had multiple skin cancer screenings in the last several years at other facilities, and my costs were always limited to the office visit co-pay and a minor lab fee. However, this charge is one of the worst healthcare rip-offs I had in my life. I highly recommend everyone to STAY AWAY both from Baylor Dermatology and from this particular physician.
