She takes the time to listen and explain using posters/demo. She offers samples and takes the time to look for cost effective treatment options. - I highly recommend her

    I work as a professional patient advocate and Aging Life Care Manager. I dont give good / glowing reviews often, but wanted to comment on how great Dr Parsons is. I have taken 2 clients to Dr Parsons in the past year and have been extremely pleased with her and her practice. I take clients to other Dermatologists and Dr Parsons is extremely kind, professional and more thorough than others I have taken clients to. Very pleased to give this recommendation based on my experience with clients.

    My visit with Dr. Parsons could not have been better. Easy in and out, short wait, polite staff, and the doctor was wonderful. Dr. Parsons has treated everyone in my family. Rashes, adolescent acne, grown up skin cancers and everything in between have all been resolved. She is kind and compassionate but thorough and knowledgeable, too. So, when I developed a growing, itchy, weeping big red bump on my shoulder, I knew Id be in good hands as shed figure it out and Id soon feel better - and I do!

    I was fooled by the good reviews. Scheduled an appointment, was charged $60 that were supposed to go towards the payment for the visit. Had an emergency, couldn't make it to the appointment on time, called and asked to reschedule. Was told that they don't care why a patient can't make it and that it's not refundable. I asked to consider waiving the fee as indeed I can't control emergencies. Got a call back from the receptionist ( who has been referred to in other reviews as "rude", correctly) who said "yeah, so we don't do refunds. ok? Thanks, bye". I was actually going to schedule another appointment but she just "thanks, bye" me. Well, BYE right back at ya. This city is full of doctors. I encourage everyone to look elsewhere. Unfortunately I can't report anything about Dr. Parson's professional side, as thanks to her office policies I didn't have a chance to see her.

    I had a very upsetting experience with Dr. Parsons and will no longer be supporting her practice. To begin with, her assistant gave me the wrong email address to email the pictures of my face to. Youre supposed to email pictures the day before your telemedicine appointment. Anyway when the appointment started almost 10 minutes late (I was on time, but the assistant or doctor was running late), the assistant rushed me through things. She interrupted me constantly, would talk over me and then stopped just a few minutes in because she realized she had not received the pictures I had sent the day before. She had gotten through about half of the questions when she got sidetracked by noticing the pictures were missing, and then she never finished covering the things the doctor and I needed to discuss. I emailed the assistant the pictures but it didnt go through right away due to some technical issues. That delay would not have been a problem had I been able to email them to the correct email address the day before, rather than trying to do it on the fly. I resent them immediately but the assistant didn't get back to me till 10 minutes later to let me know they had not gone through. When she told me, I fixed the problem right away and sent them successfully. The issue was that by that time 30 minutes had already gone by. Dr. Parsons was very frustrated with me and rushed through the whole appointment, making a decision to take me off accutane without really wanting to discuss the repercussions, or what was going on with my recent allergic reaction, or if it was definitely related to accutane. She kept saying her patient was waiting in the other room already and that she didnt have time for this. When I suggested making another appointment, she essentially told me were having an appointment right now so lets just get on with it. I felt rushed and unwelcomed. The assistant didnt forward my pictures to Dr. Parsons and Dr. Parsons said, whatever, lets just look at the pictures from last month. When she did receive my newer pictures (after I made it clear I really thought she should look), she saw the new pictures and said they were useless which was confusing because they were taken in clear lighting on an iPhone X in the upright position. Maybe she was looking at some older pictures and getting confused? I felt like I was being scolded. Ive never experienced this kind of treatment in a doctor's office She quickly made the decision to take me off accutane and vaguely mentioned putting me on a topical acne medication but couldnt be bothered to tell me clearly what kind, or why she was putting me on it. I had some specific concerns I needed to discuss with her, but I was not allowed to. Im very upset and will not be seeing Dr. Parsons again. I am sorry about it because I had liked Dr. Parsons and will now have to go about establishing a relationship with a new doctor. Plus this felt like a waste of $150. To think all of this could have been avoided if her assistant had given me the correct email in the first place.

This comment provides a good opportunity for us to explain our scheduling policy. We are a no-rush solo practice and schedule most of our patients 30 minutes apart, so wasted appointment slots are costly to our practice. We welcome new patients, but they tend to have a higher frequency of no-shows or late cancellations, so we charge new patients a reasonable $60 deposit to encourage them to arrive as scheduled. That amount is applied to their charges and is fully refundable if they cancel or reschedule with at least 24 hours notice. This policy is explained at the time of scheduling.In this case, we contacted the would-be patient to confirm the appointment more than 24 hours in advance yet received a call asking to reschedule about 20 minutes after the appointment start time. Our staff addressed the situation in a fair and professional manner. Moreover, the reference to other comments about “rude” staff all relate to a prior office where Dr. Parsons was previously employed.
