I have been a patient of Dr. Parekh for 12 years. He always makes my appointments enjoyable even when he orders exams that I may seem unnecessary. I trust him and his opinion more than any other cardiologists Ive seen.

The care from Baylor St. Lukes Medical Center was excellent and exceeded our expectations! Dr. PAREKH, MD. Is adult congenital and structural heart disease interventional cardiology. Dr. PAREKH did a heart valve surgery replacement on my husband. He was so knowledgeable and put us at such ease from the moment we met him. He truly cares for his patients!! I cant recommend him enough!! The entire experience, from the hospital staff , to the hospitalist, and Dr. PAREKH went beyond our expectations!! My husband and myself received nothing but excellent care!!

I met Dr. Parekh at 1:00 a.m. in the morning. I had just been transferred to St. Lukes CICU with multiple pulmonary embolisms in both lungs. Dr. Parekh and his team came in to the hospital to place catheters down into my lungs to provide medicine to help break up my blood clots. Although it was obviously a very stressful situation he made me feel completely at ease. He and his team checked on me every day. They saved my life.

I met with Dr. Parekh after years of going back and forth in Houston and Austin regarding my Atrial Septal Defect. Needless to say I was disheartened and second guess many times on what my next steps should be. Lab after lab, test after test, I was just over it... Dr. Parekh contacted me by phone as soon as I was referred to him, got me scheduled for my first visit not long after that. At the initial consultation he was very thorough and answered every question. He allowed me the space to process and we decided to attempt an endoscopic closure. Although the end result (due to the anatomy of the ASD) was to proceed with open heart surgery, he was compassionate with me and my family at every step. The day of the procedure he used a napkin to show my sister what was going on with my ASD... we both loved that! He also took all the preliminary measures to ensure that the surgeon had the tests and specs needed to perform the open heart surgery. This was a relief for me as I was worn out and ready to feel better! His coordinator Lorena emulates his compassion and care. Always available and responsive. I'm now a little over 3 months post op and feel brand new! I am happy to say that Dr. Parekh was right all along and his bed side manner has been refreshing and just wonderful! Being in social services I always recall the Starfish Story when someone has the gift that Dr. Parekh does... it mattered to this one!
