Nikolaos A. Diakos, MD, PhD is an interventional cardiologist and specialist in heart failure who is pioneering new treatments and devices. He is recognized for his substantial clinical and translational research accomplishments in the areas of heart failure and mechanical cardiac support.Dr. Diakos has authored many papers in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals such as the Journal of the American College of Cardiology and the Journal of Heart and Lung Transplantation.
