Dr. Bhimaraj treated my mother during her four month stay at Houston Methodist in 2019 for advanced heart failure. There are many doctors that ignore family members outside of the spouse, which happened frequently with other heart failure doctors on his team, but Dr. Bhimaraj greeted me, shook my hand and included me in my mother's care. He gave me the respect that I deserve. Every single time Dr. Bhimaraj came into my mother's room he shook her hand. He thoroughly explained her condition to her and he made sure our family was updated throughout the process. He answered EVERY single question my mother had with patience and sincerity. His team couldn't help my mother in her treatment, which was absolutely heartbreaking for our family, especially my mother. But that didn't stop him from calling out to other hospitals and reaching out to other heart failure doctors on her behalf, to take a look at my mother's case. He deeply cares about his patients and makes sure they KNOW they're cared for. He fights for them and he has outstanding bedside manner. Dr. Bhimaraj, I fully understand why your staff and colleagues have so much respect for you. You are an exceptional doctor but an even better human being.
