Over the last two decades, I've helped more than 3,300 high school students and young adults navigate their post-high school path using Birkman. By uncovering their own unique wiring, I show them how to translate those strengths and passions into a fulfilling career as we work through their college counseling. Teenagers have notoriously short attention spans. The overall assessments and specifically Birkman's Interests, which measure passion for different roles and tasks, are just long enough to produce the data I need to guide them. Birkman is an essential tool that supports the success of my business, Flourish Coaching.

I am a Birkman fan. As a Master Certified Professional, I’ve administered The Birkman Method to more than a thousand people and trained about fifteen hundred others to 'work the Birkman.' It’s more powerful than the other tools I've encountered out there, with more robust validity. I use it when teaching my ‘Career by Design’ through UCLA’s business school and when I'm teaching Inclusive Leadership programs to a range of clients. Each person's Birkman report provides non-judgmental language that helps people hone in on their strengths while becoming more aware of their biases and expectations. Women leaders, for instance, find it particularly helpful when they can talk about their expectations without sounding needy. They tell me being clear about who they are, what they bring to the table, and what they expect as managers — all insights from their Birkman reports — accelerates their professional growth. My style is compassionate and clear, which are essential qualities for leading and managing our diverse workforce. The rigor of this instrument allows me to help my clients do the same, to connect their heads with their hearts.

Birkman is a transformational experience that will serve you throughout your life. As a Master Certified Birkman Consultant, I use it with my clients for everything from leadership development, career management and team building to selection and hiring. The Needs and Stress component is especially unique and helpful for clients who are adjusting to the ever-changing world of work.
