I recently had an appointment with James Fredrickson, physical therapist for my bulging lumbar discs and pinched nerve. He spent so much time with me and gave me the proper exercises to help alleviate my pain and heal my injury. Hes very knowledgeable, experienced and trustworthy!

On 9/30/23 I visited the Sports Orthopedic clinic in Dallas and met with Dr. Berry, the visit was great. He reviewed the xrays taken there and informed me that my Achilles did not require surgery but we would begin with physical therapy and if that did not work we could do a PRP which is a platelet injection. I did PT and it was not working in my favor so Dr. Berry ordered an MRI and according to the doctor who reviewed the images, my Achilles was damaged so Dr. Berry ordered he PRP and I was placed in a boot. I was scheduled to do the PRP procedure on 27 Nov, 2023 in the Frisco office. The two nurses attempted to draw blood from both arms and Dr. Berry came in to attempt but he said they were unable to find a vein and that I had rolling veins. That was odd to me because I had not experienced that to that degree Dr. Berry stated they would have to do the procedure in a hospital so his scheduler would contact me. Never heard from her after a few weeks, so I began calling the Dallas office almost daily for an update and the young lady I spoke with said Brook was her manager and she would call her to have her call me but I never got a call. As the Christmas holidays began to approach, I visited the office and expressed my concern over the lack of communication. Finally Brooke called me and it was this reason that reason as to why she was not communicating with me and she stated she had not called me because she was waiting on the hospital to see about payment because she did not want me to pay for it and my insurance was not going to cover it. I explained that she could have at least let me know that was the delay instead of leaving me in limbo waiting. Mind you all this time I have been in a boot and I told her that I would pay for it and to let me know what it would cost. Never got another call from her and when I return from holiday travel I received an email from his office stating Unfortunately, we are unable to proceed with the PRP injection at the facility. Since we are unable to proceed at the facility and were unsuccessful in the office, we have decided to refund your money in full. No call just this email. I found that to be very unprofessional. I schedule with the referred orthopedic and he did xrays on 1/9/24 and immediately told me my Achilles is not the issue and that I had two bone spurs on my left heel Dr. Berry nor his medical team never mentioned anything about a bone spur they just stated my Achilles was damaged. Imagine my surprise of this misdiagnosis. The lack of communication from Dr. Berrys office is unheard of and unprofessional and now to learn that I had something Dr. Berrys office did not see in xrays is mind blowing.
