I realize all experiences are different so I will just share mine with the hopes it can reach anyone who is searching, whether at the beginning of their career, mid-stream, burned out, or looking to pass their knowledge on. Most of the American Business Women's Associations in the Dallas area are very robust. Outlook Positive Express Network was where my search stepped off and where my journey started. I wish it were possible to take an internal psych snapshot from before & have one to compare with the present. The growth I have experienced with the help of OPEN has shocked & surprised those who truly know me. Through leadership opportunities, programs, conferences, even attending other leagues, I have embraced being challenged, taught, exploring different roles, and even nurturing. Outlook Positive Express Network has provided me with a "safe place" to practice, fail, & achieve. Please don't kid yourself because all the changes will take an attitude adjustment & perseverance. However when you are finally ready to "grow yourself" personally & obtain a higher level of professionalism which may have languished previously, I highly suggest you attend a few meetings with an open mind to the possibilities. Change is possible.

I have been in AVWA and part of OPEN (local league) for 2 years. I was looking for a professional organization that I could develop my professional skills in. I am happy that I was able to find an organization that my skills can grow in.
