Not open for dine in from midnight to 6a, which is, historically, the best time for Waffle House. I'm not saying I don't get it, just that I don't like it.

I always visit Waffle House when I visit a state that has one. Such a fun, old-school environment especially late at night after an evening out. So I was excited to take my daughter and wife to Waffle House to see all of it while traveling here from our home in Utah. It was difficult from the moment we walked in. We sat at the bar because all of the tables we either occupied or dirty. After sitting at the bar we asked (politely) if we could move to a booth if they had a moment to clear it. The young man said yes and we could take a seat and the waitress would be with us in a moment. It was not a moment. It was about 10 minutes sitting at a dirty table. Finally, the girl came over to clear the table in what seemed to be slow motion. No greeting at all. And then she proceeded to barely wipe the table but it would do for now. After sitting with only 2 menus to share (fine, whatever) we were ready to order. We waited for another 10 minutes or so. The girl finally came back and stood there - staring, glaring. Oh um, ok I'll have... and then each of the four of us proceeded to order. No substitutions, nothing special, nothing difficult. We ordered 4 entrees, 4 waters, and 2 coffees. We were enjoying the vibe and soon realized that it seemed to be forever since we placed our order. Finally, she came back with 4 glasses of water and one coffee and then she was gone. That's okay. Maybe she didn't hear the second coffee. My wife said, Oh, I think we had 2 coffees right?. The girl said nothing, just rolled her eyes and turned around. That was kind of rude. After quite some time in a restaurant that was not busy, some of the food came out. My daughter's bowl was burnt and the portion was far less than I have seen before. After basically dropping the plates on the table, she turned around for us to figure out who got what. No silverware. I could not get her attention, she was obviously ignoring me. I walked up to the cashier where she was helping another guest and waited patiently. She glared at me and said I'll come to you I said, We need silverware and sweetener for the coffee and everything else that we didn't get. She turned her attention away with no acknowledgment whatsoever. The food was cold by the time she brought 4 forks, 1 knife, and no spoons. And she was gone again. When she came back with the last entree I told her We need 3 more knives, 4 spoons, the side of bacon, sweetener, and jam for the toast. Again no acknowledgment and we just gave up on the bacon. We were done, angry, frustrated. I immediately asked her to take off the side of bacon and give us our check. She said, I gave it to someone else anyway. I promptly paid the check with no tip as she walked away from the register and I ripped my own receipt. This could be the worst restaurant experience I have ever had. Looking at the reviews, I am not the only no who has had these same issues with SeNeca in the past few months. I hope she figures out whatever she is dealing with. In the meantime, customers will continue to leave terrible reviews. If you have a choice, choose another location.
