La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Dallas Uptown

Im so incredibly grateful they worked with us so we could check in early! The rooms were great, the shower was warm and the deadbolt was hearty! This La Quinta is in a cute little area with quite a few bars and a Trader Joes just across the way. We greatly enjoyed our stay. Rooms: Our bed was comfy, the hardwood floors were nice and the AC worked great! Safety: I felt relatively safe! There are always interesting people at budget locations but who am I to judge. Just make sure to be aware of your surroundings as you always should be! We felt safe in our room and as I mentioned above our deadbolt was hearty! Walkability: We walked all over, to multiple bars and Trader Joes. Felt safe enough to do so!

Driving on a family vacation and after 12 hours in the car and 4am we booked a room. Upon arrival were told check in is 3pm. Staff wouldnt let us lay our head down for a few hours... And wouldnt let me cancel the reservation. Called LaQuinta corporate they wouldn't give us a refund either even thou it clearly stated on the reservation we can cancel before 10AM. Terrible experience. LaQuinta left me without a place to stay at 4am with 2 kids. I'll never stay at a LaQuinta ever again. I'll have to go thru my credit card company to get my money back.

Place was nice. Looks like a motel on the outside, must have been remodeled. Highway is right in front and is super loud, but I was able to sleep decently. Missed breakfast, dunno how good it was. Super clean room
