    This review is 10 years in the making. My hubby and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary. I was out buying flowers and I was suddenly hit with a vivid memory of my experience with Bows & Arrows. The memory was so strong, I simply had to share it. While planned my wedding, I reached out to this florist to schedule a consult. Over the phone, one of the first questions asked is what is your budget, when is the wedding date, theme, etc. I answered all of these questions and an appointment was scheduled to discuss the floral arrangements. The woman/owner (I can't remember her name...but back then she was dressed like Amy Winehouse)...she made it very clear she could only spare me 30 mins for the consult. Knowing this, I came prepared with a list of questions, so I could be mindful of her time. I wish I could say the meeting went well. She lacked warmth and any hint of good customer service. She made me feel like I just wondered in off the street and was invading her time. As if I hadn't scheduled an appointment with her the week prior. When I explained my idea, she waved vaguely in the direction of some vases and said something along the lines of "she could do it." She didn't show me a rough setup of how she imagined she could do it and didn't seem all that interested in me being there much longer. I didn't say anything at the time, because I didn't want to be the typical "demanding bride". I just assumed she was having a bad day. She rushed me out of there, with a promise to send me a quote. A few weeks went by and I still hadn't heard from her. I'm starting to get worried. I called to follow-up, and very nicely asked where we were on the quote, and since she did not get a chance to show me a rough mockup, would it be possible for me visit the shop so she could show me her idea. (Because seriously...It would be helpful to avoid surprises on my wedding day.). She agreed for me to stop by the shop...and this is when it went from bad to worse. She still refused to show me a mock up. Again, she pointed to some vases across the room and then pointed to some twig-like floral decorations on the opposite side of the room and used her hands to 'mime' what she would do. When I asked if she could she show me what she meant (because I'm a visual person), she then told me 'she didn't really have time for people stopping by her shop and she doesn't do events for less than $2500." So basically she blew me off. Please keep in mind, I told her my budget when we first spoke ($2500). Please keep in mind, this was 10 years ago and my wedding was small. And I made appointments with her. I would NEVER just show up anywhere without an appointment. I was so shocked by her attitude, I didn't even argue with her. I just remember nodding my head and leaving. So there I was.... two months before my wedding , without a florist, and butt hurt because I didn't speak up for myself. THANKFULLY, I was able to find another florist. She was amazing! Her shop was bigger and far more successful (I won't mention her here). She was so sweet and attentive. Yes, she showed me a mockup display of the flowers (without me having to ask). She did the job for $2500 (I was willing to go higher since Bows & Arrows made it seem like $2500 was equal to rocks and leaves). To this day, I do business with her and pass her info along to anyone who needs a florist. But my experience with Bows & Arrows still haunts me to this day. I still can't believe the owner was so rude. Perhaps she had mistaken me for another potential customer??? Not sure. But after two encounters with her, I'm convinced she just offers bad service. Too bad. Her website arrangements were nice. But there is always someone better and who can do it with a smile. I would not recommend this company.
