I have had my car towed twice, unlawfully. The office has not taken accountability for NOT properly registering my vehicle upon me signing up. Due to the negligence of the Office Staff at Indio Management, I paid hundreds of dollars to get my vehicle released. I have spoke with a civil attorney and this matter is a breach in Terms of Agreement regarding parking. #1.the day I moved in I properly followed instructions to register vehicle. Upon the completion of registration instruction, I received an email stating that the office would then approve the authorization. #2. of course the office never completed the registration, even after me mentioning to them that I received a confirmation email. Days later, my vehicle was towed and I had to pay $170 to release my vehicle. #3. I immediately called the office upon my vehicle being released, explained to Janessa as well as Imelda, that my vehicle was towed and that I registered my vehicle the first date of move in. The staff was difficult to get a hold of, finally Janessa connected me with Imelda who stated that she saw the registration, and that my car should not have been towed. I asked about reimbursement, Imelda stated that I would not be able to receive a reimbursement although I did everything correct on my end, Imelda never took accountability not once! Afterwards, both Janessa and Imelda assured me where to park to be on the safe side and advised me that everything was taken care of. #3. A month later, I am towed again... same price and same reason, "Unauthorized Vehicle".... I paid for my car to be released, I spoke with management, again NO ACCOUNTABILITY was taken. I spoke with Imelda directly, she mentioned that she sees where I was registered as a tenant, but no car was added.... completely different story from the initial time I was towed. I sent her "emailed proof" of me registering my vehicle, the email receipt clearly showed 1 authorized vehicle. She then went in her system, approved my vehicle, immediately after that, I received a signed addendum for parking that had my vehicle information listed with a signature that she illegally signed on my behalf without my permission to my email address, I replied to the email acknowledging that the signature was not mine and her response was , she acknowledged that she signed on my behalf to be assureds this doesn't happen again. I was upset of course, and I do not appreciate such violation of signature forgery. Still no accountability and no reimbursement. I followed up a day later to see about reimbursement, Imelda stated that she is awaiting to hear from the Tow company, but IT WAS NOT THE TOW COMPANY'S FAULT, it was the negligence of INDIO MANAGEMENT. As a result, I am filing a small civil suit and want to educate future tenants and existing tenants of their rights. It pays to record all calls to and from office management staff. It pays to keep emails of all interactions, and it pays to have all receipts. Please tenants, I pray for you all, and I pray that no one has to go through a financial hit due to someone else's negligence. Thanks
