I came here for a knee injury after I was referred by Premier Family Physicians. I do not recommend this place. My main issue was with the care that I received, but you should also know that it is impossible to reach anyone at this office. The only number listed is for the central scheduling department and you will hold for an hour waiting to speak with someone at any time of the day. Try calling any other orthopedics office in Austin and you'd be hard pressed to find one that doesn't answer their phone right when you call. They also schedule several days out in my experience and that is only to see a physicians assistant. I was able to schedule next day appointments with the actual doctor at 2 other orthopedics offices in Austin. Don't sit at home waiting for this office to have time to see you. Go find another Orthopedist and see them in the meantime. Regarding my care: I came in unable to bend my knee with swelling and bruising after an injury. I was sent home with ace bandage wrap even though there was obvious ligament/soft tissue damage and my knee was unsteady. Nothing was given to help support my knee or to help prevent further damage. No knee brace, crutches, etc. Only after an MRI and a week of waiting for another appointment was I given an actual knee brace. I ended up having a torn meniscus and high-grade MCL strain. My instructions were to wear the knee brace for 4-6 weeks and if the knee was still hurting after that to contact "A DIFFERENT DOCTOR". Why, if I need to see another doctor to repair my knee, would you have taken me on as a patient in the first place?!? Also, they did not prescribe any physical therapy to help regain movement or strengthen the knee. And for my 4-6 weeks of walking around on my damaged knee I was given 5 days worth of Tylenol 3 with zero refills. I came to this office first, referred directly to them by my primary care physician, and I was treated like some opioid pill chaser. This place doesn't give a damn about you or your recovery. Stay away! Thankfully I went and saw 3 other orthopedists (the actual doctors) who all had actual approaches to repair and recovery.

I had a good experience at OACT. I couldn't get into Southwest Orthopedic Group in a timely manner as their new patient admin didn't return voicemail for twenty four hours. I was able to see Leah, Dr. Jobe's nurse practitioner, as a walk in patient. I was in a lot of pain, and they took an x ray to confirm I had no broken bones. Leah gave me two buddy splints which have been helping my finger to heal. I saw Dr. Jobe two weeks later for my follow up and he was correct. The numbness has been diminishing and I won't need surgery. Both Leah and Dr. Jobe were really nice and competent. I highly recommend.

Once age decides its going ahead and getting old when you choose to refuse that, in comes OAC.  Dr. Stephen Pearce is my dude.  I seem to be frequenting his clinic these past years so much that he mentioned I was his "annuity".  I am.  He's right.  To no fault of my own, my body seems to be reminding me that I lost that "I don't need to exercise" bet... big time.  Let's see, Dr. Pearce has fixed or is fixing, Tibia/Fibula break, Carpal Tunnel Surgery/Repair, Lower Back malfunction and most recently a Rotator Cuff Strain.  He's an affable fellow, knowledgeable and direct.  I'm sure I will be back soon enough, with some other body part alignment issue.  Front office staff is efficient and friendly enough.  X-Ray tech and pre-nurse of Dr. Pearce or whatever the correct term is for the members who first analyze me prior to my audience with Dr. Pearce are helpful and get's all the data entered into my chart.  I'm sure to be back shortly for a Stenosing Tenosynovitis evaluation.  I very well may be his Life Annuity option.
