TLDR; Dont get your hair lightened here its not worth the money. I recommend Blonde Faith Salon. Even the Baldwin Beauty School will do a better job.
pics are from October and then the day i got it done on Nov 30th

I liked this new stylist enough that I thought it would be worth going back for another haircut a year later and asking for him, specifically. This was a decent haircut, and at the appointment we talked about how I wanted to come back in to get highlights done. He advised me to book the "full highlights" based on what I had said, and even though I don't normally spend quite that much on my hair, I decided it was worth booking.
So I came back a few weeks later to see him again for my highlights and he gave me this whole shpeal on how actually instead of costing $350 or whatever the normal price for full highlights would be, it would actually cost over $500 and that would only cover part of my hair, not even the full highlights!!! He said that I should have scheduled a "highlight consultation" even though I had just been in a couple weeks before to get my haircut and we had discussed it then. It made absolutely no sense, because while my hair's not thin, it's also not especially thick and it goes just a couple of inches below my shoulders. I had plans to go away soon, so it was stressful to find someone else in time, but luckily, I found another place who did the job for $200---over $300 less than Milk & Honey had quoted me for and they did a good job!
Overall, my experience with this salon is over-priced, under-delivered. They were full of excuses and I found it pretty frustrating dealing with them.

*Update: I absolutely loved the Kevin Murphys Young Again line. I got the masque and shampoo. They come in small travel sizes to try out (not super cheap but cheaper than full size). My hair felt incredibleand I am over 50, color my hair, have gray underneath the color, and use heat tools some. My hair is always DDDRRRRYYYY. I recommend this line. My hair felt soft, easy to comb through, AND lush/full after.
