Riverside Townhomes

My family was the third family to move into these apartments back in 1971, I believe it was. They were called “model cities program“apartments back then. I guess they’re called “section 8” these days. They were considered the modern and up-to-date “welfare housing“. I drove through there in the early 80s and it was pretty much a slum. The photos in this looks pretty nice. Montopolis was considered a pretty dangerous place to live back then, but I would walk up to a place called “the boomerang“ which was at the corner of Montopolis and Fairway Drive and we get burgers and hang out and play pool. Never had any trouble for this white girl. I have good memories from back then and met a lot of groovy people. I wonder what it’s like today.

The staff in the office is nice how ever the maintenance here is kind of low

I DO NOT Recommend these apartments to anyone. Worst rental experience, Feels more like we are prisoners then residence. Leasing office treats us with unfairness and should be replaced with individuals who actually take pride and care for their residence not treat them like we don't matter.

I am so shocked at the renovations that have been done at these apartments. The staff is very kind and really care about the tenants. They are very proactive about getting issues resolved and keeping the maintenance of our apartments up to proper standards
