Marquis Management

I've had some really pleasant renting experiences in Austin but unfortunately this is not one of them. I needed a 3-month sublease while waiting for another apartment so I signed at one of Marquis' buildings named "University Quarters." The building itself is falling apart and the apartment was filled with pests (large cockroaches and spiders), broken appliances (3/4 stovetop burners, ceiling fan, leaking sinks), and black mold that they tried to paint over. Maintenance requests that I submitted the first day I moved in were not taken care of until 4 weeks later. When things were finally taken care of, the maintenance worker tracked muddy shoe prints all over the apartment and didn't clean it up. For the pests, I was told to "cover all kitchen and bathroom drains every time you leave the apartment" instead of coming by to spray or finding the root of the problem. Overall a terrible experience and I can't imagine what an entire year-long lease with them would be like. Highly recommend going somewhere else!

As from 08/14, the communication is pretty smooth for now. I may change the rate later since I just started in their property. But for now they are good. I think the actual rate should be around 3 to 4 stars. I hope the management can do more this year to amaze me then I can change to a five star.

The apartment leasing office gave me peace of mind for our college daughter, they were wonderful to deal with. The apartments themselves are older, they are maintained. Zero issues with maintenance. Remember anything older is not prefect. Thank You!

I started my term at University quarters starting June 2021, and I was really surprised to see how well the Marquis management - Marla Marker, and her team handled the whole process!I booked this spot online due to the pandemic, and Marla so patient, and committed to her role that she face timed me the apartment, followed-up with me even during the weekends, attended all my hundred questions (haha), and followed-up with me after my arrival to make sure things are okay :) She was really helpful, and kudos to her, and the team!Secondly, Liz Tome who attended the initial maintenance work was so diligent that he helped his way out to make sure that things are set, up, and running! He was committed in finishing all the requirements quick as it helped me ease out my setup the initial few days :)Great work team, KUDOS! Keep it up :)
