I hate writing reviews but this place was honestly a nightmare for most of the year I lived there because I had so many issues with my unit and the "amenities" and management was never there to help resolve it (they hired someone new in my last two weeks so maybe this has changed.) The elevator breaks at least once a month, and at one point it didn't get fixed for nearly 2 months. During the summer months I had ants in my apartment (and I know other neighbors did too) which I had to fix on my own because pest control came twice and it didn't make a difference. They used to tell you to put recycling in the trash shoot areas, but it would build up and not get cleaned out for months so I recommend just taking it to the bin. My car got towed because management at the time failed to mention to the towing company we can park in the EV spots. The Wi-Fi is garbage and is constantly out. The list could go on forever. I am not sure if other RPM apartments are like this one, but truly I have no clue how this place got an award, I am certain there are many other complexes that deserved it over this one. I hope with a new community manger in the office things have and will continue to improve.

Update 10/12/23 The issues have been resolved. Thank you. I've been here since April, and honestly, I can't wait to move out. Let's start from the beginning. When I moved in, everything was perfect... until I realized that the cold faucet runs HOT water. After multiple emails and maintenance requests, going back and forth, and telling me that it's supposed to be like this because it's hot outside, they finally fixed the issue. Someone forgot to switch the emergency water line, and that's why I had HOT water instead of cold. Well, the bottom line is the water isn't cold; it's just running slightly warm... they said it will be like this because it's too hot outside, and the pipes are getting too hot. The second issue - the elevator has been broken three times since April, and now it's been one month, and it's still not fixed. They said they are waiting for the parts and it's supposed to be fixed by 9/18... well, today is 9/21, and still nothing. The third issue - management. One person left, and they didn't have anyone in the office. They had temporary people who were here and there, but now they got a new manager... and she isn't in the office because she is working offsite. Well, I get it, but what about responding to emails or answering the phone? It's been three days since I'm waiting for their email response. And the last MAJOR ISSUE is parking. They have 42 parking spots for 50 "unique boutiques." Before signing the lease, they said we have enough parking for residents, and non-residents should park on the street... turned out we tenants who pay $1700 for the apartment have to park on the street. They started giving people parking stickers, but if we're short on 8 spots, it's not going to help us. I also had an issue with the dishwasher, and it took them like a month to fix... everything takes a month to fix... but we have to pay rent, right? Internet issues, ANTS issues, neglectful neighbors who decide to dump their dogs at 3 am because they can't afford it. Well, this is my summary and overview of the UNIQUE BOUTIQUE STYLE APARTMENTS, and I'm not stopping anyone from renting out the place here, but not for $1700

Business Response on Google Oct 3rd, 2023
Dear Victoria, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback about your experience at The Oscar. We sincerely apologize for the inconveniences you've faced during your stay, and we appreciate your patience in allowing us to address your concerns. Regarding the hot water issue, we unfortunately weren't aware there was still an ongoing issue, as the work order was completed in August, and we haven't received another regarding the water. We can send maintenance in as soon as possible to address this concern and ensure the water remains at a comfortable temperature for you. We're committed to addressing maintenance concerns more efficiently and appreciate your patience while we work on resolving them promptly. The elevators prolonged downtime is regrettable, and we apologize for the delay in repairs. While we expected it to be fixed by 09/18, we acknowledge the delay and have sent a community update regarding the status of the repair- which has been pushed back and set to begin on Monday 09/25. Unfortunately we are at the mercy of our vendors schedule and availability to complete the necessary repairs. Regarding management, we're continually striving to improve communication with our residents, and your feedback is valuable. We'll address the responsiveness issue promptly, ensure that your concerns are heard and will be addressed in a more timely manner. Parking is indeed a challenge, and we apologize for any inconvenience caused. We're exploring solutions to alleviate this issue and improve parking availability for our residents. Thank you for sharing your thoughts, and we hope to make your remaining time at The Oscar more enjoyable. Please feel free to reach out to us if you have any additional questions or concerns. Sincerely, Jasmin RichardsonCommunity Manager
