I recently moved out of Travis at the Lake after nearly four years of residing there and was utterly disappointed by the experience. While the complex itself is undeniably beautiful, my departure was marred by excessive move-out fees that felt like a blatant cash grab. Despite consistently paying rent on time and maintaining the apartment well, I was shocked to discover exorbitant charges totaling almost $1200.One particularly egregious issue was a leak in an outdoor storage closet that led to mold growth. Since I never used that closet, I was unaware of the problem until it was too late. Despite the leak originating from the unit above mine, I was unfairly held responsible. Even after hiring professionals for a deep clean post-move, the management deemed it insufficient, adding insult to injury and tacking on another egregious move out clean fee. It's disheartening that despite years of being a loyal and responsible tenant, my departure was marred by such unjust treatment. I can no longer in good faith recommend TATL to anyone. There are much better complexes in the surrounding area. previous 5 star review. Incredibly beautiful apartment complex in an unbeatable area. Staff has gone above and beyond multiple times for my two dogs & I. Very pet friendly and welcoming neighbors! Great community overall.

**Current Resident** Reconsider your choices if you're trying to move here. It's appealing but current management is severely lacking. I've lived here since 2020 and have experienced the spectrum of customer service and management. The first 1.5 years here were great; management was consistent, issues were taken care of quickly, and customer service was amazing. It all changed once the property management changed from Kairoi to Suburban Homes. A revolving door of staff (front office, leasing, and maintenance) led to a lot of gaps - maintenance request turnaround slowed, lack of response from the office, etc. It took a year to get a leaking roof fixed for example. "Management" is quick to make the problem yours vs working with you or taking ownership for their mistakes. Most recently I was contacted 9 months into my lease to be told I didn't have a lease and they'd begin charging me month to month fees. After reminding them that I had a lease and proving the e-mail trail I was then left a noticed not only at my door but also mailed to me telling me I owed them back rent because they failed to process my lease 9 months prior so I owed the difference a.s.a.p. No call to explain the situation or apology just a large bill at my door. When I attempted to work with management on this multiple times they ultimately didn't own their error and did very little to rectify the situation. I escalated the matter to Barbara Guilbeau, who was unhelpful, quite aggressive & rude. She also "manages" the Ridge at Headwaters in Dripping Springs, Tx. Privacy does also seem to be a concern here as the management is incapable. I was e-mailed a list of everyone's annual renewal mistakenly. This became very concerning as I wasn't sure what information of mine was inadvertently shared with others. If you're going to consider this property know that you'll ultimately have to watch your bills/charges. After discussing my issue with others on the property they to have experienced incorrect charges and accounting related issues. Don't do auto-pay for sure and regularly review your ledger. It's sad you'd have to essentially audit the management to do their jobs, but you do and to your own benefit. It was very clear to me through dealing with property management and Barbara they really couldn't care less and at the end of the day you're an apartment number. Be sure to always get everything in writing and recap conversations.

Im not one to post such a scathing review but everything about our time living here warrants the unfiltered truth being known. The staff were incredibly rude, accusing us of running a "furniture building business" when we were assembling the furniture for our new apartment. We lived in our unit for 2 years and when we moved out they had JUST finished construction on all the amenities they had advertised. Parking was so bad they had a GRAVEL lot where residents were forced to park once all the spots filled up (supposedly luxury apartments) During COVID they limited access to gym and REQUIRED you turn in your driver license to the front desk in order to be buzzed in, every single time they had the most disgusting attitude about being bothered to do their part in a system THEY implemented. Our ac went out and they dragged their feet for 2 weeks until I confronted them that my thermostat was reading 95 while I was away and my poor puppy was home. I believe her name was Holly or Kelly, but she told us if we wanted to walk with shoes on we needed to buy a house (you can hear a pin drop in the unit upstairs), so we did and we haven't had to deal with the train wreck that is this management since !
