This hotel is not too far from downtown and the NASCAR racetrack. They have a shuttle service to the racetrack. The room was clean, as was the reception area. It's an older hotel that is well-kept.

Nice clean hotel. I see lots of complaints about the noise from the highway, but lots of hotels are close to highways. If you are tired enough, you'll sleep. Breakfast was great. Waffles, eggs, bacon, potatoes, cereals, etc. Very friendly staff. Close to lots of restaurants and a mall. Food & drinks: Snacks and drinks for sale in the lobby.

20230325 my go to Hampton Inn when I travel down 81!! I stayed in room 224 this time. It's a suite but has no view! It is located in the front part of the hotel right above the lobby. The view was partially blocked by a huge concrete wall. I don't like the suite room layout. I prefer the open space better. 20230323 2nd time staying here and still very pleased with this hotel. The receptionist was very nice. She offered me a choice of peanut better and chocolate chip cookies. 20221203 The hotel feels pretty new. It is located right off 81. If you don't want to hear traffic noise and especially if you are a light sleeper, get a room on the left side of the hotel when facing the front lobby. You can tell where your room is located by the last digit of your room number. My room was 200 and it is located at the further end of the hotel, furthest from 81. If the last digit of your room is 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, and maybe 5, you are good. As it goes higher, it is located closer and closer to 81. Also, the end where 81 is located is the power/phone lines. If you are sensitive to that, definitely stay away from the side 9f the hotel next to 81.
