How are you supposed to talk to a rep on the phone when there's so much feedback every word I say is repeated in the background! I couldn't even make a coherent sentence because of that and felt stupid! Please fix this!

I came into this location 4-2-24 to deposit a life insurance check from my Mother passing. The way I was treated, INFRONT OF MY CHILDREN, made me feel like I was doing something wrong. The male teller who was helping me was rude. He asked what the check was from, I explained, he just said sorry. He said we will have to put a hold on this, that was fine, even though I have been banking with Eastman for 8 years I get it. His reasoning though is what made me want to go to a new bank. His reasoning was "I don't have a history of depositing checks like this, we have to make sure it isn't fake." Like I hope I do not have a history of depositing LIFE INSURANCE CHECKS FROM MY MOTHER DIEING. Then he said is that okay? Is that okay? Did I have a choice? He called some lady over, I have no idea why or who she even was as she never introduced herself to me. I felt like I was bothering him, even though I've had an account with Eastman for 8 years, always in the positive may I add. My children got to experience discrimination for the first time, I guess that's a plus. The original Eastman I opened my account at would have never treated me this way. Anytime my husband goes to get money to pay our mortgage they question him like he's a drug lord even though he's only getting $645 out every month. My mother used Knoxville TVA and I believe once Eastman gets their hands off MY MONEY I will be moving to there. Here's to losing another costumer Eastman, Good job! Your moto is "beside you" more like "discrimination against you"

Do not bank with Eastman. They will rob you and they are extremely rude to you when they do it. I already don't trust banks and you would think the local bank would be better but no. They are all the same. These criminals will give you fees upon fees just because. Nothing but bad experiences with Eastman since we've opened our account. Glad to say we've closed it now.
