water quality - poor. air quality inside the halls and rooms - worse. The ice from the refrigerator smells of sewage and the rooms don't have lights , it really feels like they used the absolute absolute absolute minimum amount of money to build and finish the inside of this building. nice location tho.

For the price point, you would think you'd be left with large and beautiful rooms, but unfortunately it is quite the contrary. I wouldn't advise anyone to live here if they could help it. If you have a problem don't expect much in the way of help, maintenance is slow and inefficient. Laundry room advertises an excess of washers and dryers, but they don't tell you that a good portion of them will be out of order at any given time. I am not completely critical of this place, though. The people at the front desk are nice and the internet speed is impressive. Overall though, I would not stay here again and I would not advise you do either.

DONT LIVE HERE!! I just moved out of chestnut yesterday and let me tell you… the biggest relief of my life. I’m going to start this off with a little FYI that chestnut pays its employees to get friends to rate chestnut on google since they originally had a 1.5 star rating. So all of the good ratings are fake :) you’ll notice that most reviews include the name of a resident assistant so they can claim their 5 dollar bonus. I only lived in chestnut because I was forced to as a student at drexel. The workers are just about the least helpful people I have ever met and many of the security guards quite literally put in effort to make residents days miserable. There are a few great ones but hence the word few. It’s honestly really sad. The amenities are nice and all but half the time they are broken. You’re lucky if you get a working washing machine and most of the gym equipment is broken half the time. Chestnut had lost 3 of my packages and never took my responsibility. They also tried to charge me for a pet in the building when I didn’t have one. I once had a homeless man chase me into the Chestnut lobby and the guard couldn’t even unlock the door for me or ask if I was ok. Seriously Chestnut… do better.
