The food is good, the service is great. The downside is that its very loud, so having a relaxing meal or carrying a conversation at normal volume isnt going to happen. Its also a very popular place for people to take their kids, as every time Ive gone nearly every other table had kids with them, which makes it feel much more hectic.

Incredible place!!! Kind and good service! So happy to have found it. They treated our party of 6 adults and 2 kids really well! And gave us a beautiful table in the sun for brunch

Very disappointed in Hawthornes today and the lack of interest in making a long-time customer happy. The restaurant has recently updated their menu and they've removed the only item I used to order from them, the Philly Fried Chicken sandwhich - one of the best fried chicken sandwhiches I've ever had which is why it was my go-to order. I can literally see the restaurant from my kitchen window and have ordered this consistently since they added it to their menu in 2020. Noticing that they were still offering a Chicken sandwhich (now on a biscuit), I called to see if they would acommodate still making the old item off-menu, especially since they still have all of the ingredients that it took to make listed through other dishes on their menu. The person who answered the phone was willing to check it out, and shortly after someone else answered the phone who was unwilling to be helpful. He said he could swap the biscuit for a roll, but not willing to do anything else. When I pushed a little more he didn't offer any explanation when I pointed out that all of the old ingredients of the sandwhich were still available through other dishes, just basically said no, non-apologetically, and rudely got off the phone with me. I see the owner of the restaurant all the time and look forward to the next time I'm able to catch her to provide this feedback in person. For now, I wanted to let the restaurant know how disappointed I was in their lack of any desire for what would have been an easy customer service win on their part.
