I am so irritated with this company. As a resident, they forced insurance on me when I have an active insurance policy in place. I emailed the renewal policy AND uploaded the renewal into the resident portal. So what they do? They forced insurance on me again because they changed the Name of the Additional Insured. Something extremely simple and could have been rectified by a simple conversation or communication.

Ethical and Reasonable. If youre looking for such a company then this isnt one of them. This company is built on overcharging its residents and making money unethically.

My name is Taylor and my AC has been broken since April 16th with no resolve. I have been very patient with the Chelsea apartments in Columbus OH and the team. My AC hasnt been working, at one point my temperatures have been up to 91 degrees with no circulation. Maintenance came out and did a quick fix which he told me it would get me through the night and it did. But went out the next day. Because of these AC issues Ive had to stay elsewhere with my cat because its been too hot in my Apartment. I spoke with the manager today because I paid full price in rent and asked if the next month I can have rent knocked down some since I havent been able to stay in the apartment due to their hvac issues. When speaking to the manager who was disgruntled and over talked me about the situation I was told that she wasnt going to make that decision and leave it to her manager. And that I have to just deal with the situation because 1. Its not AC season right now & were experiencing unusually high temperature right now 2. As a homeowner herself she has to deal with not being able to get someone out at times right away due to AC issues (which homeowner and renter responsibilities differ so the point doesnt even matter. My $1,300 rent pays for you to figure that out and to communicate appropriately ) 3. That temps havent been high enough for me to vacate and to stick just a fan in the window or just open a window at night (which my temps have been in the 90s and her staff made THE AC not working an emergency situation. I think thats grounds to vacate.) All of this to still pay full price in rent. If I was a homeowner I would just deal with it because its all on me. But because I am a RENTER I have to go through this company to get any issue done, as it should be. Thats what all this money I pay out to this company is for. I left a call with this company and would like to speak with someone to further discuss this matter! Thank you

Do they even have a customer service number in operation? Follow up: I am finally free to write full story as i moved out. I would rate them 0 if there is an option. You dont have to read my story, just look at thier overall rating and you will understand but you have sometime please go over to my story.Being a 5 year tenant, i am writing this. I know every bit of this public corporation. These people leech you to the last drop left in you. Worst and arrogant management. Prior to becoming a tenant they will treat you like their best customer you could possible imagine and once you sign the lease, your life is hell as you can imagine. They only run this business for money, doesnt matter how you pay. Lot of their communities are filled with dangerous people. I have seen tenants with guns in communities and firing in the night, when asked for setting up surveillance, they obvisouly denied and i know they wont do ot as they would loose some high paying customers. Worst of all comes when you move out. The apartments wont accept the final balance and tell you deal with corporate who leaves no option to payoff the balance and accounting will never be available for you to settle the balance. You will finally end up in the hands of their collection agents who will torture and bring you to a state where you will have to pay more than what you are suppose yo otherwise you will be threatened to a level you will like leaving this world. I sincerely suggest, make sure you are not renting from one of the irt properties or else you will end up eating your own heart. Btw, their customer phone number will never work so you basically cant to the corporate.

I am a resident at The 1800 at Barrett Lakes, managed by IRT Living. My dishwasher has been broken for a month (from March 15 to April 10, so far...) and still has not been fixed. They've ordered the wrong part twice in a row (waiting on the 3rd part now). They asked me to run the dishwasher with bleach inside after they had supposedly fixed it, but then it got stuck on a cycle and just cooked the bleach in my apartment while I was at work, releasing toxic fumes for my cat to breathe while I was gone. On their latest visit, they snipped a line too short and now my kitchen sink leaks. So I can't use my dishwasher AND I can no longer hand wash dishes. I am livid. Stop slashing your budget on maintenance, hire enough competent personnel, and fix the apartments that we're paying so much to live in.
