Dr. Namdari and his team are amazing. He repaired my shoulder which had two complete tendon tears and a torn cuff. I would recommend Dr. Namdari and his team. Thank you for taking care of me.

I took a horrific fall in Philly (thank you potholes!) and shattered my dominant shoulder and arm. Dr. Namdari expertly repaired it (plate and screws for the humerus, bone graft, completely superglued my shattered shoulder cup, rotator cuff repair, etc. etc.). Afterward, he braced me and my husband for a very long recovery. Dr. Namdari cautioned that I might not regain full use of my arm, but thought I could get a lot of use back and encouraged me to set goals for myself. I spent the first 4 months sleeping and going to PT. That was it. The pain was horrific - even with pain meds - so I used a ton of melatonin and slept, slept, slept. With his blessing, I also took very high doses of Vitamin C (I took twenty, yes 20, 1000mg tablets 3 times a day), as well as Bone Trex (2 tabs, twice a day). I was able to finish my first & second courses of PT within 4 months, then spent the next 2 months in Maine (a big goal). I continued the Vitamin C and Bone Trex regiment with an at-home PT program for another year. The pain was still awful (as Dr. Namdari warned me it would be), and I didn't sleep through the night until the 18 mo mark and then only a couple of days per week. Then more and then more. I continued the hard work (and the vitamins, but cut the Vitamin C to twice a day) with Dr. Namdari's full support & encouragement. At the two year mark, he happily reported that my bone graft had fully taken and that he was thrilled with my progress. Within those 2 years, I had gotten almost my full range of motion back! I am now 5 years post op and happy to say that I have 99% of my range of motion back! You would never in a million years know I had such major repair work done. The scar is pretty much faded (tbh, it faded within months). When the pain gets bad (and it does still), Dr. Namdari gives me an injection and for 3 or 4 months I will sleep through the night again Thank you, Dr. Namdari. I really can't imagine what I would have done without you and your expert skill! You are my hero!!! Update: it was 9 years ago when I had my surgery. I am happy to report that I have maintained the 99% of use in my arm and shoulder. I have seen him once a year or so in the past few years. He always brings his residents in to see me since it was an incredibly complex surgery with such a positive result. Dr. Namdari remains my hero! Another update: It has been almost 10 years since my fall, surgery, and long road back to shoulder health. I saw Dr. Namdari last week (January 2024) for an injection in my shoulder. Happily, the bone graft is stable and my range of motion (almost 100%) is beyond even Dr. Namdari's expectations! For some reason and really since Covid, I don't have a lot of faith in doctors generally, but can say with certainty that Dr. Namdari remains my favorite doctor and is someone I completely trust!! If you have a shoulder injury or are contemplating any shoulder surgery, my advice is this: If it is not an emergency, then first find an excellent Doctor of Physical Therapy and have that DPT evaluate you to see if you can do something to avoid surgery that will repair your shoulder. (Then folllow the DPT's plan for you!) If, however, you have an acute injury or other emergency (or if your DPT says you need a shoulder surgeon), then run - don't walk - to Dr. Namdari! I see him at the Rothman Institute in center city Philadelphia, but would go wherever he is! You won't be sorry you entrusted your shoulder health to him!!
