Great foodso much better than youd expect. Nice to eat in a real dining room with china plates and real silverware ( instead of plastic) plus with a view. Food was tasty and beautiful and satisfying. Only one small letdown: homemade warm dinner roll was a little doughy but when you put butter on it, youd hardly notice itA lovely lunch

We visited twice - for the Korean tasting menu, and for simple hamburgers. The tasting menu is a true discovery. Just excellent. We also liked the burger very much. Its very juicy. The service is attentive and very friendly. We will come again.

Make reservations for when your visit the Phila. Museum of Art and dine at Stir Restaurant as we did. It was a pleasant surprise to have had a delicious late lunch and a yummy cocktail, too. Wonderful hostess who was so helpful as Open Table had not alerted me there was a table ready. Our server was very pleasant explaining some of the Korean inspired dish ingrediants. Selections included: Earl Grey Martini (a must if you love a great cocktail); Love City Lager; Celeriac that was perfectly braised in a sauce so divine we dipped the fries them into it afterwards. Should have ordered a roll to do this as it was a shame not to be able to enjoy every drop of it, or at least had a spoon. Bravo Chef Rhee. PMA Dry Aged Farm Stand Burger with onion jam, Lancaster cheddar, bacon. Had the best bite of a great tasting burger. Well done Stir.

A little background about me before I start. Ive been in the restaurant industry since i was 16 years old and I am now 23 and currently Majoring in Hospitality so i know what im talking about. I came to this place with nothing but positive thoughts and it went south as soon as we got the dessert. Originally I got Vanilla ice cream and later changed my mind to chocolate and when she was telling me the flavors she didnt say the chocolate was dark chocolate with chocolate chips and im not a fan of either of those things so when i got it and tasted it i called her over and asked if i can just get what i originally ordered. I said i wasnt informed that there were chocolate chips in this can I go back to vanilla. She told us that we would be charged double if i were to get the vanilla again. And honestly I technically didnt have an issue with that but that seemed crazy to me but regardless i called the manager over and asked him the same thing and he gave it to me with no issue. Now my main problem was the fact that she went over to her other servers to talk about us and no only did the other server look in our direction but she made eye contact and they proceeded to laugh. Not only was that unprofessional but it was also uncalled for. I am extremely disappointed in the way she handled the situation. I was nothing but nice and polite the whole time of my service. Her service was fine but what threw me off was that she was comfortable talking about me while I was still seated in the restaurant and on top of that they were in my peripheral view.

Restaurant with good food and service that is a pleasant break from the hubbub of the museum. Must have a reservation.
