        Our family enjoys this Y as it is the closest to our home however the really frustrating part is the lack of family/open swim hours. The only family swim hours during the week are during daytime business hours while people are working and kids are in school...doesn't make sense. They also have bizarre weekend hours for families to swim. I don't understand why I can't just bring my two kids to the Y anytime I like so we can swim together. This is the whole reason we got the membership so I feel like I should just be able to swim with my two small children at the end of the pool anytime I like where we won't be bothering anyone...is there a logical explanation for this?

We have designated swim times because we need to ensure there are enough lifeguards available to stay in compliance with the expected flows. Members of the Greater Philadelphia YMCA can use any of our branches, so if you would like to view our other locations, please feel free to see if their hours work better with your families' schedule.
