I waited more than a year to most this review to see if my opinion would change. It did not. I hired Bush Group to renovate my kitchen. They came in to design and compete all of the work. My house was built in 1900, so much of the wood work is more than 100 years old. The project was delayed by 4 months due to shipping issues, which I understood due to the pandemic related shortages. Prior to beginning, I was told that o need to pay more of a deposit than usual, because my cabinets and other items are custom. It is a kitchen renovation, so I would assume it is normal for everything to be custom to fit a kitchen. I paid the extra deposit anyway, because in the end, it was part of the total I would owe. Once the project began, it was just problem after problem. The drawer next to the stove could not open because it hit the stove. The cabinet door above the stove hit the hood. The shelves inside the pantry were cut wrong and installed, although the guy knew they were cut wrong. Sections of the countertop were loose and one came completely off. We paid to have a kick plate heater installed, which required a plumber to cut into the radiator line from the boiler. Once cut, two of the radiators in the kitchen stopped working and the kick plate heater never worked. I told Bush Group about it and they confirmed that it did not work. I heard Sean called the plumber and argue with him about it not working, but it never got resolved. I asked for Seans plumber to call my plumber and have them meet at my house to go over a plan, but that only resulted in Bush Groups plumber throwing profanities at my plumber and hanging up on him. Our house has 100+ year old wood trim around the windows. When installing the pantry cabinet next to a kitchen window, a worker removed the entire trim on one side of the window, as well as cut the stool and apron and disposed of it. When this was brought up to Bush Group, they came and installed a flat piece of wood and did nothing about the stool and apron section that were missing. Although the contracts states that 10% must be held until the punch list is complete, Bush Group demanded 98.5% of the contract balance prior to completing the required work. Every time we found a new defect or issue, they made us feel like we were a burden because we did not notify them prior. When I brought up the design defects, they told me that they are not kitchen designers and that these issues where not their fault. Although the contract states that at the end of the project the builder will issue a 3 year guarantee, I have not heard from the Bush Group since the kick plate heater issue was brought up. Bottom line, I will never use them again. If you are looking for a custom kitchen renovation, you should look elsewhere.
