I like most patients do not like going to the dentist let alone a extraction, especially when they tell you you need a surgeon. I had a root canal that broke years ago and the root and supporting screw was still embedded in my mouth. Because of the anxiety and the white coat syndrome my BP was very high. Dr Murmer made me feel very comfortable with his professional manner and gave me enough anesthesia that I was drooling. After 15 minutes of pain free surgery he was done. What a great pain free experience. I would go back again, only if I had to of course.

My dentist referred me to an oral surgeon for 2 extractions. I have been to Dr. Mermer before (2X) and was pleased with him. So rather than call the surgeon my dentist suggested, I called Dr. Mermer's office to set up an appointment. I explained my situation to Adriana, the receptionist, and tried to make an appointment. I explained I did not have dental insurance and could she give me a ball park of what the procedure would cost, so I could be prepared, and explained that my dentist supplied me with exact details of what teeth, my x-rays and a referral. She said she'd call me back after finding out. 2 days later, after no return phone call, I had to call her back. So I said lets make my appointment. She informed me she would have to make a consultation appointment first. (Why, if my dentist sent me with x-rays, instructions and a note??) I asked her if we could make it the same day as the extraction appointment, since I am in considerable pain, and don't want to prolong my agony. I also asked the cost of the consultation. Both questions she had no answers for, and said she would find out and call me back. That was 2 weeks ago and I have received no reply.I have been dismissed, disregarded and disrespected by this office staff.Dr. Mermer, you are a good doctor and I respected that enough to call you first, however, your office needs to get it together...

Let me say i have severe anxiety when it comes to dental work because i have far too many horror stories. And surprisingly i read quite a few negative reviews online about this place. But i was pleasantly surprised to see how i was treated. I was so nervous as i didnt know what to expect from these guys, but the staff and my doctor were nothing but kind and patient which isnt always easy when you have a shaking crying patient. My appointment was at 9am, i arrived at 830 did my paperwork immediately went for xrays then into the chair and sedated, i was up and out by 10-1030 which was amazing! A huge props to these doctors and staff, until today I never thought there was such a thing as a "pleasent" dental experience!
