I am only leaving a one star review because it isn't possible to leave zero stars. I was in search of a lawyer for my custody case when I came across this law firm. I called and spoke with the very professional, informative receptionist named Michael. He deserves five stars. He was very helpful and respectful, which encouraged me to want to hire a lawyer specifically from this firm, (besides their overall rating of course). I managed to schedule a consultation with Eileen Murphy. The consultation went so bad that I left the zoom meeting in tears. She is rude, lacks empathy and is extremely bias. For a moment, I felt like she was an attorney cross examining ME in a criminal case. Not to mention, when her young child barged in the room and interrupted our consultation, (which I didn't mind because he's a child), she was even really mean to him. I felt terrible about that because he couldn't be older than 5 years. She made me feel extremely low and hopeless. She made numerous offensive comments, she was constantly speaking over me, and she didn't seem to consider the fact that I was only 6 months post-partum. Eileen began to practically argue with me once I shared my religious/moral beliefs with her. It was only mentioned because in court that would be brought up as well from the other party and I wanted to be sure to cover everything with her. She went as far as telling me that I was upset with her because I didn't like what I was hearing, when in fact, I was upset because she showed absolutely NO empathy and very little respect for me. After explaining to her that I am okay with hearing the facts and possibilities of my case, she stared at me blankly and just shook her head. Every single time I tried to speak or explain something to her, she would cut me off mid-sentence to speak over me. I became so overwhelmed that I ended the zoom call abruptly. No more than five minutes after I ended the zoom meeting, I received a phone call from her apologizing to me. She said that she feels I should get a refund on the consultation fee and she doesn't want me to think I "got scammed." She mentioned that Michael would be in touch with me to handle the refund process because she doesn't know how to send the money back. The fact that she called me to apologize and felt the need to refund me when I did not even ask for a refund, let me know that I was not losing my mind or being overly sensitive. She definitely could've handled this consultation differently and showed a bit of empathy. I was extremely worried and this is my first time having to hire an attorney. The experience was so bad for me that I almost gave up hope in finding a lawyer. Thankfully, I found one. This review is based on my session with Eileen Murphy and I cannot speak on any of the other lawyers here. If they are anything like her, I wouldn't recommend anyone to use this firm!

My interactions with Margaret Klaw were generally rude and, hence, unprofessional. I was initially told during a divorce that she was representing the interests of *both* my ex-wife and myself (this is what my ex-wife assured me, and Klaw was never clear about the issue), but only just before signing the final documents was it revealed that my interests were not, in fact, taken seriously (if they were, we would have divorced with fault, since my ex-wife was abusive). Very unhappy with all of this. I wish the communication had been better and the situation more transparent. Just a bit more candidness about what was really going on would have made a big difference.

I felt cared for and considered from the very first meeting. I was battling it out in court with my ex over custody of our child who wanted to be with me full time out of state. My lawyer explained everything to me step by step and was honest and transparent about what I should expect. She was knowledgable and respectful of the judge. She waited with me but also reminded me about the charges per hour. I felt like she took the time to get to know me and my family. I would highly recommend!
