When I lived here the front desk staff was horrible. Management seemed non existent. Also it was incredibly expensive to have a parking spot. Not worth it at all for a small apartment with all white (cheap) appliances. Jan 7th, 2024

I lived at the Ludlow for just over four years. I loved my little one-bedroom apartment in the heart of this great city. I faced the interior courtyard, which gave me a lovely view and less environmental noise - Ive heard (and can imagine) the street-side apartments are noisier. The people are the real superstars of this enterprise. The concierges, management, and maintenance staff - Tim, Andre, Peter, Brittany, Vicki - among so many others - were always kind, helpful, and just made the place feel like a warm and welcoming home environment. They were amazing. On the minus side, the apartment was so small I didnt have room both for living room arrangement *and* for even a small table to sit more than two. There are amenity spaces available for larger groups, but I would have loved just a bit more space. The fire alarms also go off quite frequently. We have never had a true emergency, and I appreciate the caution, however . . . Often the culprit was smoke in the kitchen while cooking . . . And the advice to open your windows was not very helpful because . . . While the windows are tall and let in a wonderful amount of light, they open only at the bottom, and not very far. That is wonderfully helpful for ensuring safety, but it results in basically no air flow, unless the front door of the apartment is also open. If youre trying to clear out smoke - or just avoid using the air conditioner for 2/3 of the year - this is a significant design flaw. Finally, while I absolutely understand the reality of a premium on a lovely home in Center City, I decided to leave because I would have otherwise needed to spend more than $100 per night on a small, poorly ventilated apartment. No matter how lovely, and no matter how much I loved the people, to me that didnt ultimately make financial sense. Nov 7th, 2023

My tour at the Ludlow with Ryan was a fantastic experience. For some of the apartments in Philadelphia I looked into, tour guides were insensitive and didn't respect my time. However, Ryan made me feel very welcome during the tour, and we handled everything promptly. The tour allowed me to see the community I wanted to be a part of while I work in Philadelphia; I could see the room I wanted and applied the same day. Ryan was very patient and diligent with me during the application process and even got me a great deal with my lease that fit my budget since the first apartment I was applying for got taken as I was filling out my application. When information was needed for my application to get approved/processed, Ryan was attentive, processed everything as soon as possible, and answered all my calls/emails. Vicky was also accommodating when my father and I went in person to sign the lease, answered any questions I had, and helped me whenever there were technical issues on my resident portal, which made my move less stressful. Every time I run into Ryan in the building, he is very polite and respectful; he even helped me with the keypad for my apartment that malfunctioned when maintenance wasn't available. I moved into my apartment on September 16th and loved every minute here. Sep 27th, 2023

J. Davis, We are disappointed to hear that you did not have a more positive experience with us here at The Ludlow Apartments. We have made great strides in our community experience since you left us in 2019. There have been improvements in Management communications with residents, and our front desk staff is now in the hands of the wonderful Maverick Concierge service as of last year. Unfortunately, the attached parking garage is managed by a third-party service and is not run by us. Available parking is in short supply and high demand as we are located in the heart of the city. We regret that you weren't satisfied with your experience with us, but we do appreciate you for taking the time to let us know how we can improve. We hope you will consider us again in the future. Take care and best wishes,The Ludlow Apartments
