Im writing this review because we are in the middle of a heat wave and my AC unit isnt working. I put in a maintenance request stating this was an emergency that my apartment is 80 degrees and the AC is blowing warm air this was Saturday 6/22. I call the office at 10am on Sunday 6/23 and again reported this is an emergency and I need someone to come to my apartment to fix the broken AC and still no one has come. I called Quinton who works in the office and he informed me to put in another emergency maintenance request and someone will come and again no one has shown up. Its now 1:30pm and Ive been calling and trying to get someone to come for the last few hours. I have small kids in my home and its really bothering me no one is taking this issue serious in this heat wave. The temperature in my apartment is now 87 degrees. Ive put in a total of 4 or 5 work orders for this issue. It seems things only get done here when you have to write a bad review because itll affect people who are looking into moving into rushwood. Then once this review is seen by the management office theyll call and apologize and ask for you to take the review down.

If this was based on the staff, it would have 5 stars. Quinton is truly the best and the staff in the management office is really nice. Its the apartments that are lacking. Ive had a leaking window for months now. Ive repeatedly put in maintenance requests for it and all they do is paint over it. Good old landlord special. This isnt the only issue Ive had to persistently request and maybe have fixed. Theres a lot of trash around sometimes (thats part of the Philly charm, I guess?). Theres also a lot of mice. They came out once and said theyd put me on the list for the exterminator after filling hole. I never heard more and had to deal with it on my own. The maintenance will also just come in sometimes without knocking? For a woman living alone, this is not good. The apartments are fine. I luckily have great neighbors. But be warned. Theyll also just renew your lease for you automatically! Great management style! safe to say Im not renewing.

Rushwood has been a pleasant experience so far. The application process was seamless. Office staff is pleasant and always willing to help. Maintenance works hard and have been able to resolve most of my concerns. Parking is plentiful and free. Units are spacious. The neighborhood is mostly quiet and the walls arent paper thin which is nice. Very close to a grocery store, hospital, mall and the 95. Overall a solid option if you are moving to the northeast.

There has been a huge heat-wave in the area and I suspected my AC needed a filter change. I put in a request at 11pm and received a call from Tony first thing the next morning. It would have been one thing if he had just changed the filter and left, but instead he noticed that a few other things could use replacing and replaced them at the same time. Incredibly, he noticed screws were loose on my desk when helping me move it and tightened them for me which was not at all his job but extremely appreciated. Before he left he showed me the temperature reading from each vent which was already showing an improvement but let me know if other alternatives incase I still feel too warm. While he was here, I could hear him conversing with other residents out the window, so Tony is obviously a highly respected and well loved member of the Rushwood team. I feel in great hands, thank you!!
