We did not end up renting here but the showing and help we got from Jessica was awesome. We wanted the apartment because she was so thorough and I could tell that anywhere where she was on the team was a good place to live. Unfortunately the only unit available was a little too small.

I lived here for a year and a half and have had an overall great experience. Jessica, Ella, and maintenance have been wonderful, are quick to respond, and keep everything running smoothly. The apartments themselves are great for the price with modern appliances and old school philly exposed brick charm. I will definitely miss my little deck sanctuary.

I lived at G8One for over 3 years. I agree with other reviewers positive descriptions of the unit design, building cleanliness, and building amenities. In my experience, building management was selectively helpful, but would equally employ tricks to make communication challenging (ie. screened calls, a voicemail box that has never not been full, emails that were conveniently not received, and don't be misled - their mailing address is not an office, it's a box at Liberties Parcel). I think interested parties should be aware that multiple air conditioning units in the building have broken and required replacing, especially on the 4th floor. In our case, we had ongoing issues with our a/c from May-August 2021, and ~6 of those weeks we were without any air conditioning at all. Management was consistently hedgy about the status of repairs and based on a conversation I had with the HVAC tech who finally replaced it, they were also misleading about what they knew about what it would take to fix it and when. I was also aware of a significant roof leak that lead to property damage in another unit in the building. This issue also took several months to be addressed. I don't know if these two instances are indicative of a pattern, but I do think its possible that if you face a significant maintenance problem while living at G8One, it may not be resolved in a reasonable window of time, and it may be a gigantic test on your patience and sanity, as it was mine. If thats not a risk you want to take, I would recommend exploring the many other comparable options in the area.

Very cool loft style apartments- was a great home for 4 years. Loved the exposed brick and large windows!!! Very much appreciate the basement bike room and extra storage units!! Management has always been responsive and kind. Very pet friendly. right across Master St. is Reanimator Coffee which is a divine way to start the morning!

I lived here for about 18 months. Overall a good experience but some things to note. Positives: all in all, its a really well done / tasteful renovation of an old factory. Maintenance (and Jessica in the office) are very quick to respond to issues. The outdoor garden space is awesome and it doesnt get crowded. And you have great hangout spots nearby like Original 13 Cider and Reanimator. Negatives: There is a LOT of construction in this neighborhood so if noise bothers you, be mindful of this. Also had a lot of issues with mail folks seem to struggle with deliveries here (likely due to how busy the neighborhood is in addition to the fact the main entrance is not off Germantown, but rather, Master St which is contrary to the building address and never fails to confuse folks from Caviar / Uber eats) its also likely in part due to the fact the intercom system goes down from time to time and people wont try very hard to contact you to get into the building. The mail continues to be an issue because even when carriers get into the building, they rarely put your packages in their designated cubby (forcing you to look through every single mail item at times) and sometimes even USPS leaves stacks of mail on the floor for you to just sort through. Each unit comes with storage which is great but the basement is musty and anything you put in there will smell like mold after a few weeks we had to throw away a lot of things because of that.
