The Fountain Building

We have lived here for about a year and a half and we have enjoyed it. The apartment is spacious and clean, cost is affordable and the noise level is never a complaint! Everyone I have met has been nice and respectful. They have had construction going on across the street the entire time we have lived here and unfortunately thats the only complaint of noise but ear plugs work perfectly! Lastly, there has been trouble with taking packages but since they added a mail room it has helped. Definitely recommended if you enjoy places being walkable and a good neighborhood!

Location: 5/5 Price: 5/5 Style of units: 5/5 Amenities: 3/5 Management: 2/5 Security: 2/5 You cannot beat the price of these units for this location. Similar units in other nearby buildings go for $300-400 more per month. The amenities are pretty decent for the price point as well, and this is one of the only apartments in Philly I have seen that is pet friendly and does not charge monthly pet rent. Management and security is where this place is sorely lacking. There is a major package theft issue here, despite the secure mailroom in the lobby. When there is NO staff on-site to oversee package delivery, problems obviously will arise. Carriers will drop off packages outside the front lobby door or simply drop them right inside the lobby door rather than using the code to properly drop them in the mail room, which leads to frequent missing packages/theft because anyone can walk by and take what they want without consequence. There is a long list of community rules here but they are basically unenforced and unenforceable without management or security personel actually being on-site. Reports of any bad behavior by tenants are met with lackluster response from management and a slap on the wrist for offenders. Overall: wack management practices are enough to make me consider leaving but the price, location, and pet policy make me want to stay.

We love living in the Fountain! I saw the lower rating and wanted to give them a little bump. The noise level is equivalent to living in any other building that allows pets/dogs. We never lost sleep over it. Yes, you can hear your neighbors faintly chatting if theyre speaking louder, and the upstairs neighbors sometimes. Our apartment is pretty and spacious. I find the pricing affordable for the neighborhood, and a decent enough gym space! Management is always quick to respond. This is our third year in the building!

I enjoyed living in the Fountain, I love the red brick walls, kitchen, and exposed beams! The gym and other amenities have been nice as well. I did not notice too much of a sound problem like others noted, but maybe that's just because I have quiet neighbors. The few times I have had any maintenance problems, I have gotten help quickly and efficiently.

I have lived in this building for 2 years now and I have had nothing but a great experience! The apartment is cozy and fit both my wife and I comfortably. All the appliances almost look brand new and the kitchen is beautiful. Also another perk is that the building has a state of the art gym that had everything we looked for in a gym. Not only that, there is a great community room and meeting room if you every need one. Lastly, if there was ever an issue, management was always quick to respond and help.
