    I just moved in to a 2 bedroom on Eastwr Sunday. So far all is good. The office staff is great and the leasing manager Quinton went above and beyond to help make sure I got a place here. If you're considering a move here I'd say do it.

    Leasing here at Rushwood was an okay experience. This was my first apartment ever. Signing the lease and knowing all the information upfront by the staff before I got my keys was great. However, during the summer months the A/C didnt go below 80s during the day which was awful. I had to go out and purchase a/c units to bear being at home during the summer and that made my electric bill skyrocket. Ive also had a couple incidents with pests (centipedes during the summer, LOTS of them), wasps, and 2-3 mice that have gotten in the apartment during the colder months. Exterminator would come and put down traps and spray, and never threw away the traps. The exterminator himself said the apartments here are old and outdated and hes there almost everyday hes scheduled to be here for multiple units due to the same type of pest, which is ridiculous. I understand the age of apartments and dealing with some pests, but it was constant. Ive put in around 10 maintenance requests through the year I lived here. I noticed that there were holes in the walls of the flooring that mice could have been coming in from so i put in a request right away to seal it up. While maintenance responded fairly quickly to the issues, theyre not servicing over the weekend and after hours, and having bugs/mice in the apartment arent necessarily emergency situations (they are to me, i know im not the only one who wants to sleep peacefully at night knowing theres no bugs or mice eating your food or crawling on you or on the walls) so take note of that. The hot water heater was replaced, and with that hot showers still only lasted around 8-10 minutes before becoming ice cold. The only places that dont have carpet is the kitchen and bathroom, so take note of wearing shoes and eating/drinking in your apt or be vigilant about scrubbing carpets or theyll charge a fee to replace the entire carpet after you move out. I believe no second story units have washers and dryers so take note of that as well. The laundry services arent the cheapest and there were several washers that were extremely moldy on the inside where the detergent/softener/bleach goes, or some are out of service for the entire year I lived there. Theres also a problem with people not picking up after their dogs. Theres dog poop all throughout the grassy areas in the complex. Rushwood sent emails out periodically reminding people to clean up after their pets, but thats all they do. However, the staff are really nice. As long as you pay your rent and bills on time you will never have any issues with management or staff. I do have some good things to say about here. Somethings I really enjoyed about living here is the off street parking at no extra cost, and the location of these apartments are close to a lot of shopping, grocery and eating places as well as the mall. Its a pretty quiet area as well, you dont hear too much traffic or people nearby in this area. Maintenance responds quick to any issues you have sometimes same day depending on how early you put a request in which is a plus. Id give this place a solid 3/5 stars.
