SUYA SUYA West African Grill

Change your expectations when coming here if your accustomed to West African food. Tastes nothing like home, or aunties food or your friends mom/aunt food. I dont think calling it Americanized is appropriate. Just a far cry from real west African flavor. If youre accustomed to this style then so be it. The staff called it, upgraded. As for what I tried, the stake suya and Uto rice. Suya spice is hard to find out here so I wont knock them 7/10. The Uto was not Uto cant rate it, wont try it again. Short manager guy is rude. Oh almost forgot the plantain, it was old and stale.

Amazing flavor but definitely be prepared for the spice level. Its been over an hour and my lips are still a bit numb after eating the low spice Shyam chicken gyro. The pita was fresh and crispy. Disgusting. Dont waste your time or money. Suya Suya taste like cafeteria food. They dont take pride in making African food. The customer service is worst. I dont know why anyone has rated this place as a good place to eat. Burnt brussel sprouts, over cooked/dry plantains, mushy rice. Absolutely disgusting.

Absolutely delicious and affordable! Just grabbed lunch to go and the food was so flavorful. Loved the plantains, corn bread and suya sauce. Will definitely be back!
