The dentist work was very smooth and no problems. It went so smoothly I almost fell asleep with having a tooth fixed.

I started going to Smiles on Belmont back in December. I hadn't been to a dentist in waaaaay too long, and knew I'd be quite the project. I have never had a dental team like this, ever! I have to give major props to these two... Eve (admin) is warm, kind, and has a great sense of humor. I'm actually kinda jealous of how consistently positive, kind and helpful she is, to be honest. But also, if I had my pick of folks to run the admin side of a business, it'd be her! She remembers EVERTYHING, and I honestly could never do what she does. She earned my eternal respect by stating her disdain for Insurance companies, and through actions and words made it clear that she was looking out for me. I needed 5 appointments for a serious deep cleaning and even a removing some gum flap thing, and she managed to work all the cancellations, get me into 5 of them and even prioritize the appointments that would keep me away for hitting my annual max, splitting them up to go right to the max coverage at the end of 2023, and put the ones that be covered on my calendar for 2024. Saving me thousands out of pocket. Next: Jen is the BEST dental hygenist I could have hoped for. Another extremely kind and highly empathetic one.sometimes we found it hard to get started because we'd be gabbing and giggling so much. Jen was also the most effective in motivating me to get into a better and more elaborate daily tooth cleaning routine. Our first deep cleaning session, she was removing a "Great Barrier Reef" of calcified bacteria from under my gums (TMI? Too bad), she showed me some shard of rock she'd pulled out, from my gums, I was grossed out and 1000% sold... I saw that thought "Never again!". But that kind of motivation usually only last a week or two for me. What has TRULy kept me on top of my dental hygiene was just having a kind, empathetic, eccentric, positive, and REAL person who I naturally like, respect, and joke around with telling me what I can do to beat gum disease, how, and why, praising the work I put into it, me the results, and telling me what else I could be doing a tad better. what EVERYONE has done there that I appreciate, is NOT push expensive add-ons and cosmetic procedures on me. Smart because now I won't go anywhere else, and will pay them more over the years. You push cosmetic procedures and exorbitantly expensive crap like $1000 night guards (that cost like $20 at CVS') on patients like me, I say no and start looking for a new dentist. They are smart! You can tell that by how cheerful and hard working everyone is there that they're treated like human adults, and have a positive friendly work environment that actually pays its human partners and assets with good money, instead of pizza parties and Starbucks gift cards. All this said, I want them to do well but not so well I can never get on the schedule, so selfishly I kinda wish I didn't write my honest review. But they deserve all the business they can get, and i would actually be happy for them if they got so busy I couldn't ever be squeezed in.
