image This business and business owner Steven Townsend Filed taxes incorrectly with errors. Then proceeds to get irrate and accuse me of not paying when i call to inform him of the errors and that i have to have that year amended by another accountant. I surely paid in full to find out depreciation was not added on my schedule E which the excuse for that was the formula he used that year did not add depreciation. What formula was this that an accountant would use that does not include depreciation for a property? He filed me as a non-resident of VA to pay taxes erroneously. He was very rude on the call. He continuously tries to overtalk me and ask what other errors when I would think one error is more than enough to look at your service and see what quality/standard you are upholding. Instead he was very angry and I decided because of this type of customer service this has to be a scam or a fraud. What business owner knowingly can see their mistakes in their files and decides to try to accuse you of things instead of owning up and making things right?Do not go to this business! Worst mistake ever.
My reply to Northwest Accounting & Tax response on 022224 to my review posted over 3years ago. This will be my only response as what I posted all of those years ago was/is completely honest and accurate and I have no need to lie or embellish for a service *I paid in full for* on my debit card all at one time for the record. First I am unsure why this post states a timeframe of 2 weeks ago. I wrote this review at least 3 years ago or so. So the posting date of 2weeks which is absolutely incorrect by a number of years is something of total error on Google side. As I did not repost this. I only received a notification today from Google that I had a response and I clicked on that and found NW accounting & tax response. I have no interest in rehashing that terrible experience. I found a great accountant and moved on with life. Ive not thought of it until I received this notification today. What I wont allow is lies being depicted to downplay the truthfulness and actuality of my review. My review is a very accurate and detailed account of what transpired. My review is not a scam.(the posting date which should reflect years ago needs to be corrected by Google)Please read my initial review for details of what unfortunately took place. When it could have been handled completely differently and professionally by NW Accounting. In regards to NW Accounting response: It was no error on my end or changes I made. You all did not try to correct your mistake. He spoke over me. He did not listen to anything I tried to say and was terribly rude. If the proper professionalism had been displayed on that call I would have gladly allowed you all to correct the mistakes as that was the reason I called. Who would choose to go pay a second time to another accountant for the same thing I had already paid in full to NW Accounting to complete (trusting it had been done correctly). To my disappointment it was not done correctly and the response and treatment when I reached out to discuss this with Steve was very disappointing. Any business that refutes truth with lies is disappointing & unethical. There was no abuse from my end, only from Steve's end on the phone. Much like the abuse of lies and falsity spued in your response. Shame on you all again. For the record the bill was completely paid in full. I have the one receipt with the total paid. Please don't make me sue you all for defamation. You all never tried to fix anything still to this day which is obvious. I was the one met with hostility and that is why I moved on. You all still kept the full payment. I let it go without getting a refund because I believe people who do things like this always get back what they give out eventually. The full truth and honesty of my review posted over 3years ago still stands. Google needs to correct posting date. "Only" that much of what you stated is true but of no doing of mine. I will email google support in regards to the erroneous posting date. TY

Not sure how a review can be listed as 2 weeks ago when it pertains to work occurring in 2017. When the review was originally posted years ago, we let it go and chalked it up to miscommunication. Now being its being reposted as current; we cannot let its inaccuracy continue. Unfortunately, due to client privacy we cannot defend ourselves, but what the reviewer forgets to mention is that the "mistake" was due to her change in tax return needs and not some sort of “scam”. Regardless of the reason, in over 30 years of business we have always tried to correct both our mistakes and clients updating of information. In this case, after being abused without any actual information as to how the return was incorrect, we informed her that while we would be happy to correct any mistakes that we had caused, the entire original bill had not been paid from the initial service. At this point, the abuse escalated until she hung up the phone. We aren't perfect, we have made mistakes. But we have always tried to fix those mistakes. Most clients have brought the matter to our attention, discussed what was incorrect or missing and then we have set out to correct those mistakes. Calling the client with immediate anger and hostility is neither useful nor respectful. The review seems like it was a 5-minute phone call with them speaking quietly and professionally while we were overbearing and interrupting. In truth it was a one-sided call pertaining to a return that was originally prepared at least a year prior to the phone call.

image They do our payroll from top to bottom and thank God I got to them because of a referral. They are one of the most efficient group of people I have ever worked with and we are glad to know that we are in good hands for this matter.

image Steve T. Is very professional and I cant believe how fast he can get your taxes done. The first year we used him it took 2 hours in his office and a few phone calls but every year since it only takes half an hour in his office. That's doing personal taxes and itemized taxes for two businesses.
