Courtyard Marriott Portland Center

Read all the one star reviews first because, in this case, they are accurate. We were recently at this hotel for a few days. Immediately upon getting into our room I told my husband that they should pay us to stay there. We almost always stay at a Marriott hotel, but this location is certainly not up to snuff. The location is good, and the front desk employees were friendly and helpful, which is always a plus. Also, I recommend avoiding their restaurant. Do not pay for the breakfast add on. It's pretty much the same price, or cheaper, at nearby places.

This is a very nice hotel with great staff in what used to be a very nice location. Unfortunately this part of town has been devastated by the homeless situation and it isn't conducive to walking around. As such the parking is incredibly challenging and expensive as well.

Due to illness I had to cancel my trip to Portland. I was able to get a refund for my Southwest flight and a refund for my car rental. I spoke with the Manager/Director and this hotel would not refund me. I would think they would be understanding but apparently this hotel does not care about customers and just takes peoples money. When I visit Portland I will not book with this hotel.
