Dr. Breen is hella intelligent and I can't recommend her.
- Dr. Breen is consistently 30-80 minutes late. I almost walked out of the office waiting for my first appointment.
- She's great at connecting symptoms and has so many ideas. Most of this doesn't get written down. I had to take my own visit notes and follow up when prescriptions weren't sent in. Much of each appointment was spent going over things we'd already discussed.
- Insurance billing is opaque and fraught with errors. I was initially charged triple my copay, which was eventually acknowledged and told would be credited. But then they started sending me bills for random dollar amounts and no itemization. They ignored my repeated requests for itemization. When I contacted my insurer to see what codes were used, they'd been billing extended visit codes for every appointment. When I asked what was going on, Dr. Breen used my next scheduled appointment to monologue about how she just can't work any other way and can't make a profit otherwise and that insurance normally just pays it so I need to talk to them. But still did not send me the itemized invoice I was promised.
My suspicion is that they are billing based on the time my appointments were scheduled to start, rather than the actual start times. This would also explain why they're unwilling to send me details. They still owe me $20.
