Then we decided to move to Ireland, so in late 2022 we called Martin to help sell our home in a market that was cooling with increasing interest rates. Between that and a difficult buyer, Martin kept cool and managed our anxieties working through the process as our move overseas rapidly approached. Working with Martin Cross was simply a joy. He helped my wife and I find our first home, in the midst of a pandemic and the insanity that is currently the Portland housing market. There was never a time we felt like Martin was without helpful insights regarding big or small issues with homes we saw over the 4 weekends we spent searching as a socially distanced group; During which our bank of 15 years was dragging its feet on our loan application. As we narrowed down our choices, Martin was able to help us locate a Mortgage company that could keep up with the rapidly shifting market as well. In the end we did not hear back from our bank till two weeks before close. Without his knowledge and expertise we would probably still be scanning documents and awaiting approval. When it came time to make our offer, Martin adroitly suggested reducing it by 15k and Followed up with a counter offer to accommodate chimney repairs in the purchase price of our home. With the money he prevented us from spending on our inflated offer and the rate that his suggested mortgage company was able to secure us, we have literally saved 10's of thousands of dollars that other agents might have left on the table. With all that capital retained, we even felt comfortable enough to expand our family of five to seven, with the rescue of 2 new kittens! We are so excited to spend our days with our, now five, cats in our new house. Thank you so much Martin for helping our family find our home.

Martin Cross was an incredible help to us when we decided to sell our home in Portland and retire to Mexico. It was not the usual sell of a home and we were not your usual sellers. What can I possibly say about Martin that will do this gentleman justice. I can scarcely imagine what its like to coach first-time home buyers through the process, much less during a pandemic. Martin handled both of these pieces professionally, of course, but it was his personal touch really demonstrating that he understood and cared about our needs that made it a pleasure.
