The Portland House Hunters

Chandra and Monica helped me buy my first house. They made the process so fun and easy. In fact, it was so easy that I found a perfect house on the second day of looking, and was incredibly bummed that the search was over and I wouldnt get to continue looking at and roasting houses with them. They immediately got my vibe and aesthetic and I loved that I could be honest about my opinions and they yes-anded the whole way. On top of that, the support theyve provided after the sale was completed has been great, they provide so many referrals and tips to me whenever I bother them. If I ever buy another house, Im gonna be calling them immediately. In fact, I may just pretend to buy another house so I can hang out with them again.

If you buy or sell a house in the Portland area, you NEED to work with Chandra and Erica. Since I was moving from a different state, we started out by doing some virtual tours. I knew from our first virtual tour we were in good hands. They didn't gloss over any detail and were so real with us (ex., we saw a dream property, but they made it clear the sellers were hiding water damage and some foundation problems). They shared our excitement but also brought us down to earth without being downers. We saw a lot of houses together before finding the house for us, which needed a LOT of work. Erica guided us through the process and helped us get a repair credit (and was at our house almost daily), fielding contractors and collecting bids for us. They even got us the sweetest closing gift and have sent so many good contractors our way. I am so thankful to have both of them on my side still, even after closing, to help us navigate home ownership.

Chandra and Erica are amazing. Truly. They were honest, knowledgeable, and patient during the house hunting process (we saw about 30 houses? or was it more like 40??). And they kept their senses of humor! We were fussy and particular about what we wanted, and they just kept with us. And I never thought I'd get to work with a realtor who not only didn't judge me for my funky hair and tattoos, but TWO realtors who had funkier hair and more tattoos than me!! These are two truly cool, intelligent, generous, and fierce human beings!! 10 out of 10 recommend :-)

We really put Erica & Chandra through the wringer looking for our first home, and they stepped up with flying colors all the way through. Erica showed us what felt like 7000 homes (hehe) in order to find one that really checked all of our boxes, and we had a LOT of boxes. They made us feel so safe with their wealth of knowledge and experience, especially when it really came down to all the dirty details during our closing process. Im so very thankful the Portland House Hunters are always outspoken and clear about their views and who/what youre supporting when working with them. Knowing I align with their beliefs and opinions provided an invaluable aspect to working with them. I truly never wouldve been able to do this without such a great team. If all of these other 5 star glowing reviews arent selling it for you, ask all of the dogs theyve also found homes for :,-)

We ended up buying and selling a property with Chandra & her team and could not be more happy! We hope to never go through the process again BUT if we do we will for sure use them. They are educated, smart and hard working! Their strong connection to the community helped on every level of our selling and buying process and honestly the proof is in our end results: we bought a house for much lower then houses around us were selling for and got repairs COVERED by the seller and even just a few months in our house value has gone up when currently many are "under water". They also sold our house within one weekend and for much higher then asking, even though there are a few other houses on our street just sitting...this is because of their strong marketing and guidance on how to list the property. I feel like they helped us every step of the way to feel confident and understanding of decisions which had not been our experience in past real estate transactions. Lastly I just liked hanging with each of them! It didn't feel like a burden to text or ask questions...they were genuine and kind humans that knew even though we didn't have millions that this was a BIG decision for our family and we always felt valued and cared for by them...which again when you are in a scary process felt like a real gift. I cannot say enough and will be telling everyone I know to use the house hunter team! They know their stuff!
