We feel incredibly grateful to have had Maddie as our realtor. From the moment we started working with her, Maddie was attentive and intentional - getting to know our priorities, preferences and budget. As first time home buyers, she took extra care to make sure we understood the nitty gritty of the paperwork by walking us through different parts of an offer letter - and demystifying that overwhelming part of the process. Once we actually started touring houses, she could not have been more efficient. She was often able to get us in for tours the same day we sent her a listing, and proactively found out property details that others might overlook. She taught us things to look for when visually inspecting a house, and we learned so much from watching her and asking her questions. Maddie knows SO much about housing materials and repairs. She was able to give us rough estimates of different repair costs as we were touring so we could make empowered and informed decisions about how much we wanted to take on as potential buyers. When we got to the point of writing offers, Maddie was the coach we needed. She spent hours on the phone with us, helping us craft strong offers that we felt confident and excited about. She is kind yet firm with other agents, and we were relieved to have someone so reliable in our corner that genuinely had our best interests at heart. She saved us truly thousands of dollars by negotiating with the other agent to get us a great price with some closing credits. She is also so well connected! For any inspection item that came up, she had someone in mind who she's worked with before. Her recommended vendors are prompt, professional, and budget friendly. She also never failed to follow up with vendors, contractors, and other agents, making sure that loops got closed and that we had all the information we needed. Maddie was our patient teacher and biggest supporter throughout this process and we could not have done it without her. She has our highest recommendation for anyone looking to buy in the Portland area!

Maddie was so great to work with and really guided me through the process of buying my first house. She provided details and guidance and was always friendly and patient. Maddie really loves the history and construction details of houses and it shows in her extensive knowledge and curiosity. She made time to answer questions and was very attentive. Having a great realtor makes such a huge difference in this process, and Maddie is the BEST. She is extremely knowledgable about the history of so many things--from Portland itself to building materials and processes to the idiosyncrasies that a house build in XXXX year will have. The result is a keen eye for red flags and absolutely top tier advice on what houses are worth your consideration. Once we found the house for us, she also helped us through an intense negotiation and repairs process. She has the number of an army of contractors, electricians, inspectors, on and on, all of whom are as great and kind and knowledgable as she is. If you're nervous about buying a house, love to nerd out with someone on things they're passionate about, or, like us, you're BOTH those things, I think Maddie is absolutely perfect.
