One of the few places in the vicinity open for breakfast before 8 (opens at 7:30). Located in the basement of the Standard Insurance building (just head in there from 5th Ave, there's no sign of it, just head downstairs). Good hot food that won't break the budget. I enjoyed a breakfast burrito, made to order.

I was lucky enough to find Phillip working the Kitchen. There was lots of great looking fresh food on offer so I was unsure of what to order, Phillip offered to whip me up a Caeser Salad Wrap as I was wanting something quick & easy to take away & then proceeded to genuinely chat to me about my day/trip to Portland while waiting. Great service. Credit to the Outtakes Cafe. Thank you

Ordered a crispy chicken sandwich with lettuce, ketchup, and onion. Bun was moldy. I sent it back, and when the chef brought a new one, she said, It looked like it was dry and topping less, so I kept it that way. The sandwich had the chicken from my previous sandwich, but with the ketchup scraped off and no toppings. My previous sandwich was not dry, and as previously stated, had lettuce, onion, and ketchup on it. During this entire debacle, there was a horrible reality show playing on a big TV quite loudly. Never going here again.
