I recently visited the Small Pharaoh food truck in Portland, Oregon, with high hopes for a delightful meal. My order of choice was the Falafel over rice, which, according to their advertisement, appeared tempting and fulfilling. However, the reality fell short of my expectations, leading to a disappointing experience. The first discrepancy I noticed was the presentation and content of the dish. Unlike the appetizing image that featured six hearty falafels, my plate contained only four. Moreover, the generous scoop of hummus I anticipated was replaced with a scant amount, overshadowed by an excessive portion of salad. This deviation from the advertised meal not only marred my dining experience but also raised concerns about the consistency and transparency of their offerings. Comparatively, neighboring food trucks at the Beer Garden showcased dishes that were true to their advertisements, setting a standard that Small Pharaoh unfortunately did not meet. I understand that economic challenges can impact businesses, especially food trucks, but maintaining quality and honesty in service and product presentation is crucial for survival and success in the competitive culinary landscape. My visit to Small Pharaoh was underwhelming, and I am hesitant to recommend it. For those seeking a more reliable and satisfying culinary experience, the Shawarma Station might prove to be a better choice. It is imperative for food establishments, especially those operating in a vibrant food scene like Portland, to deliver on their promises and ensure customer satisfaction.

Half the food for twice the money. Loved for years but plates shrunk and prices went too high. Nice knowing you!

I don't even know how to put into words how amazing the food is here. This is by far the best gyro in Portland probably in the entire Northwest. It's exploding with flavor, insanely delicious, and the portion size is excellent they do not skimp. The price is VERY reasonable and the service is excellent and very friendly as well. The recent revamp into Midtown Beer Garden also turned this into a wonderful, cozy place to enjoy your food. Cannot recommend more highly.
